An audible is a decision to change up your play on the field. You may set up for a smart passing play and realize the way the defense is set up against you requires a quick change in what play you’ll use. Calling an audible on offense and also defense in Madden 21 is essentially the same process except, obviously, it’s happening on opposite sides of the ball.
Calling an audible in Madden 21 is really easy whether you’re looking to switch to a different preset offensive or defensive play, press Triangle on PS4 or Y on Xbox One.
This will open up the audible menu and you’ll be able to pick from a series of plays that have been preset ahead of time by pushing the button associated with the play you want. Keep in mind that personnel is not changed out when you call an audible since everyone is already on the field. Your players will adjust as best they can to accommodate your request, but it’s important to remember that you may, or may not, be running that play you changed in the best possible form.
