An Animal Crossing: New Horizons fan was most likely enjoying the 2.0 update while going about their business when they accidentally watered too close to one of their newly installed fences, according to the game's developer. Because of some unknown reason, the direction of the fence shifts abruptly from one side to the other. When they were certain that they understood how they did it and that they would be able to replicate Free Animal Crossing Items, they posted their unusual encounter on the Animal Crossing: New Horizon subreddit of the Reddit community.

The majority of the time, when the fence is watered, nothing happens, not even an animation for the water that drips off the side of the fence. The structure of the wall can be altered by watering a specific section of fencing, according to a fan who discovered this recently for some reason. According to the developer, the glitch appears to affect any fencing, including the fences that were recently introduced in the Animal Crossing: New Horizons 2.0 Update. Although the player is using one of the fences that originally came with the game, it appears that the glitch can occur with any fencing.

The fan recorded a video of the glitch and uploaded it to the r/animalcrossing subreddit, in which they demonstrate how they were able to successfully reproduce it

1.  Several users have reported that the bug occurs when a section of fencing has been installed in a different direction than the rest of the fencing pattern

2.  In order for the bug to appear, the difference in the fencing pattern must occur at the end of a continuous fence and must be of the same fence type as the continuous fence

3.  It is possible that watering the last connecting point before the pattern change will cause the bug to appear, as well as the end of the fence being reoriented so that it matches the remainder of the fence

4.  The bug can also be caused by a flimsy watering can that only waters a small area, or it can be caused by an more durable watering tool that can water a larger area, according to a later comment

5.  Aside from that, the player asserts that re-logging the fence does not resolve the issue in question

It's a strange bug, but it appears to be harmless in nature because nothing else in the immediate vicinity appears to have changed since it was discovered. However, neither the surrounding environment nor the game itself is damaged, nor does anything malicious occur as a result of the game's play. Neither the original poster nor the commenters below the thread appear to be taking any of this seriously. A number of other commenters have shared their own stories of encountering the same bug in their games at some point in the past. Another amusing glitch that can occur in Animal Crossing: New Horizons is the ability for players to add their own glitches to the game.

A slew of bugs appeared to have been introduced with the Animal Crossing: New Horizons 2.0 update, but they all appeared to be amusing and quirky in nature. A recent bug was discovered after the sister's Animal Crossing island collided with another sister's island, causing her to suddenly float into the roof of the house where she lived. This is most likely due to something occurring in the game's multiplayer mode, which has been known to result in some amusing interactions between players.

Items that have been placed on the mythical 4th Level of an island will vanish from the game's world as a result of yet another glitch. -Several players have reported that Free Animal Crossing Items they had on the 4th Level have gone missing since the Animal Crossing: New Horizons 2.0 update. The Free Animal Crossing Items that had been reported missing were later discovered in the Recycle Bin in the Residential Services building by the original poster, who had reported them as missing on the internet. Given the coding in the 2.0 Update, it is expected that the technique for achieving that level will become increasingly difficult to duplicate in the future.
