My browser history probably makes it look like I'm trying to start an online business, haha. I was actually just looking into how eCommerce directories and sponsored links work, and ended up comparing all sorts of websites. One of the unrelated sites I came across was chickenroad casino, which focuses on online games rather than shopping. The whole thing made me realise how difficult it can be to tell genuinely useful recommendations apart from paid placements. I still think directories can be helpful, but only when the links are relevant and sponsored content is clearly labelled. Otherwise it's just another page full of random websites.
